What are my options?

A bequest can be made in several ways:
  • You can gift a specific dollar amount or asset
  • You can gift a percentage of your estate
  • You can gift from the balance or residue of your estate
  • You can make a beneficiary designation of certain assets
  • By these methods:
    1. Through a will or revocable trust
    2. Designate a full, partial or contingent beneficiary of your retirement account (IRA, 401(k), 403(b) or pension)
    3. Name CLF or a charity as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy

What are the benefits of making a bequest?

  1. You leave a lasting legacy to be remembered

How do I make a bequest? It can start with your will.

A bequest is one of the easiest gifts to make. With the help of an attorney, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift to be made to family, friends or charity through CLF as part of your estate plan.
